delay v.“推迟”、“耽搁”、“延误”,事情在进行过程由于外界原因推迟,也可表有意推迟Sorry I delayed in answering your letter.
postpone vt. “推迟”、“延期”,把某事搁在一边,等他事完成后再做,其后常接日期,或修饰句The meeting has been postponed to Friday.
